Support The King Papers
Mayor Shirley Franklin and a broad group of civic, education, business
and philanthropic leaders completed an agreement with the King estate to
buy thousands of the Atlanta native's papers and books with borrowed
money backed to the lender by pledges and guarantees. The Community
Foundation for Greater Atlanta formed ATLCF Collections LLC, a company
owned and operated by The Community Foundation, to purchase the papers.
The title for the King Collection will be turned over to Morehouse
College, King's alma mater, once the loan is paid in full. To be a part
